Getting Started in ART 2200
It is extremely important for students to feel comfortable with the navigation structure of this course as soon as possible. The information and activities within 00 – Orientation: Getting Started in ART 2200 were designed to explain everything you need to know to get started in ART 2200 on the right foot, but I know there is a lot of information and it can be a bit overwhelming. Please take a minute to review a few key highlights from the orientation module (below).
Key Highlights from the Orientation Module
- Read the course syllabus.
- Always submit your work through submission portals in Canvas. Do not email your work to your instructor.
- Late work is docked 10% and can only be submitted late during the current unit.
- You may work ahead, but don't forget to double check that you haven't skipped any work that is currently due.
- Attend online office hours if you need help (see syllabus and course homepage for office hours).
- Email your instructor through the Canvas inbox outside of office hours.
- There is no required textbook for this class, but you must download and install (free) Adobe CC and InDesign CC on your computer.
- Use 00 – Orientation: Getting Started in ART 2200 as a reference throughout the semester. It contains everything you need to know about ART 2200.
Do You Have Any Questions? (Instructions for submitting this assignment)
I would like to ensure all students feel confident moving onto the next module, 01 – Spot Colors & Dielines Revisited. Please use the submission portal for this assignment (via the Submit Assignment button at the top of the page) to either tell me that you have completed all of the required activities within the orientation module and feel confident moving onto the next module or that you're confused and/or have lingering questions. Please list your questions so that I can answer them for you directly. I will check for new Initial Response submissions every day during the first two weeks of the semester so that I can provide answers to your questions as quickly as possible.
