Weekly Q&A – Design Automation
To-Do Date: Jan 26 at 9:00amWhat is a Weekly Q&A?
ART 2200 Advanced InDesign Software is a hands-on course requiring instructor demonstrations, software application practice, and troubleshooting. This is accomplished either in the classroom (for on-campus sections) or through a weekly Q&A session (for online sections). Each weekly Q&A session highlights important information about the learning resources and creative projects the class is working on. ART 2200 students are expected to complete any lessons in the module and then attend their instructor's review session each week.
When and How Do I Attend?
Weekly Q&A sessions will happen during scheduled class time for on-campus, hybrid, and live-stream sections. Online sections without a scheduled meeting time will meet at the specific day and time determined by their instructor. The day and time will be the same each week for the full duration of the course unless otherwise noted within a module. You can find the specific day and time your online ART 2200 instructor has chosen on the course syllabus and the course homepage.
Live class sessions for online sections are held via the ZOOM tab inside your course in Canvas. Click on the ZOOM tab via the left-column navigation to get started. Once your instructor schedules these meetings, you will see a clickable link appear on the ZOOM page.
What if I Can't Attend?
Some sections of ART 2200 have a scheduled class time, while others do not. If you have signed up for a section with a scheduled class time (like Tuesdays at 5:30 pm), you are expected to attend class during that time each week. By signing up for a section with a scheduled time, you are saying you are available to attend class whether that is on campus or virtual. If you have signed up for a fully online section with no scheduled meeting time, you are asked to do everything you can to attend your instructor's Q&A session in real-time. If you cannot attend (maybe you work during the scheduled time), your instructor will record their weekly Q&A and make it available via the ZOOM tab. You are required to either attend in real-time or watch the recording after it has been posted.
