Living and Transportation Parking

Parking at Salt Lake Community College

If your student is planning to drive and park at a Salt Lake Community College campus they will need to purchase a parking permit. Your student will need to park in the YELLOW lines.

Student Parking Permits

• Permit owners are responsible for updating their vehicle information if they get a different vehicle, different license plate number or temporarily drive a different vehicle to campus.

• License plates (rear or front) must be easily visible to the parking lot aisle/roadway. License plates displayed behind objects (bicycle racks, bumper guards) or on a vehicle dashboard are not acceptable.

• Parking permits are transferable from the permit owner's vehicle to another vehicle in their possession. The permit is NOT transferable from person to person.

• Students are allowed to have two vehicles with their permit.
  • However, one vehicle associated to a parking permit may park on campus at one time. If two vehicles associated with the same permit are found parked on any campus within 24 hours, both vehicles will receive a citation.

Pricing

• Annual: $45 - valid from day of purchase through August.

• Semester: $23 - valid from the start date to the end of the semester.

Library Square Permits

You MUST contact the Parking Services office directly to receive Library Square Campus Parking privileges. Due to the limited number of stalls available, Library Square Permits will only be issued to students enrolled in classes located at the Library Square Campus.

Library Square Permits will only be issued for one full semester at a time. Day, Week, and Month Visitor Permits are not valid at Library Square.

Library Square parking is limited to ground-level parking as marked. If you park on the basement or second level, you will be ticketed, booted or towed. Your Library Square parking permit will allow you to park at all SLCC campuses and sites.

Purchasing a Library Square permit does not guarantee a parking space.

Purchasing Permits

Parking permits are purchased online through their MySLCC.

Instructions

1. Have your student go to MySLCC.

    

2. Click on the Campus Life tab.

   

3. Click on "Purchase Parking Permits / Pay Citations" in Parking Permits.

    

4. Log in through clicking the MySLCC.

   

5. Click on Buy Permit.

    

6. You will need to provide the following information:
   1. License Plate Number
   2. Make and Model of Car
   3. Color of Car
7. After you've entered the information, there should be a green mark on the left indicating the permit is activated and the student can park in at SLCC.
